A member of SPCBC since 1999, John has served in numerous ministries, including the Simeon Guild, Eldad-Medad Men’s Bible Study, Eldad-Medad Warrior Council, African Justice Ministry, Drama Ministry, and the Board of Elders. Known as "Dark Gable" for his performances in church presentations, he was also nicknamed "The Voice" by Rev. Dr. Brawley.

John believes there is much work to do in reclaiming the village and sees himself as a positive influence in accomplishing this mission. His favorite scripture is Revelation 3:20.
